Traffic Control
Fire police direct traffic at emergency scenes, ensuring safety for first responders and the public by maintaining order and trying to prevent secondary accidents.

Scene Safety
Fire police ensure safety by managing traffic, securing perimeters, and controlling crowds at emergency scenes, protecting responders and the public.

Crowd Control
Fire police maintain order at incidents, directing crowds, securing areas, and ensuring public safety and traffic flow during emergencies and township events.



What to Expect
To become a Fire Police Officer, you must apply through your local fire company, participate in interviews, and successfully pass background checks. Once approved, you will be nominated and officially sworn in by your municipality. New members are also required to complete the necessary training to ensure they are fully prepared for the responsibilities of the role. For more information, click the button below.
